DR. CECILIA EMMA SOTTILOTTA
SENIOR EXPERT LATIN AMERICA

Cecilia Emma Sottilotta has long-term experience as political risk advisor, in particular to the banking industry. She has, at the same time, a strong academic background, since she has published widely on political risk, developing innovative analysis and management concepts. Cecilia Emma Sottilotta’s region of expertise is Latin America, where she inter alia deals with security issues, state-MNE relations, trade, regionalism and development. She holds a PhD from LUISS Guido Carli (Rome, Italy) and a Master for Experts in Business Internationalization from the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE). She has been Visiting Professor at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia and DAAD Fellow at the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies (Hamburg).
