David Morris
Senior Expert China, East Asia, Australia and the Pacific

David Morris is an international consultant who holds a number of senior advisory roles in the Asia Pacific and Europe, including with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).  For the last four years, David Morris was Pacific Trade & Investment Commissioner in China, based in Beijing. He is a former Australian diplomat, trade and investment official and senior political adviser, with particular expertise in East Asia, Australia and the Pacific. In 2018 he was elected Vice President of the United Nations ESCAP Asia Pacific Sustainable Business Network. He was also appointed Chair of the United Nations Asia Pacific Business Forum 2019, the flagship UN ESCAP business event for the Asia Pacific.
