In early summer, the peace negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh seemed to be close to a major breakthrough. Since then, however, the conflict positions have hardly shifted. Even more, the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan and the prevention of aid transports from Azerbaijan by the local government have led to a humanitarian catastrophe in the isolated region. On September 11, Hannes discussed the roots of the conflict, the geopolitical constellation in the region, and the propsects for peace with Barbara Zeithammer (Ö1 moderator), including questions from the audience.
